These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the StudyAgent Chrome extension and website (the "Service"), operated by M Advice Inc. ("StudyAgent", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

StudyAgent is an AI-assisted browser extension that helps you complete tasks on web-based course pages, such as quizzes, written responses, and discussion boards, by reading the page and performing actions on your behalf when you direct it to.

2. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for how you use the Service, including ensuring your use complies with your school's or institution's academic integrity policies. StudyAgent does not review or guarantee compliance with any specific institution's rules.
You must provide accurate account information and are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
You may not use the Service for unlawful purposes or in a way that interferes with the operation of third-party websites.

3. Plans, trials, and billing

Paid plans (Starter, Student, Pro) include a 3-day free trial. A valid payment card is required to start a trial.
Unless cancelled before the trial ends, billing begins automatically at the end of the 3-day trial period and recurs monthly at the price shown at checkout.
Each plan includes a monthly limit of AI agent steps, as described on our Pricing page. Usage limits reset at the start of each billing month.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details on our servers.
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account page via the billing portal. Cancelling stops future billing; we do not provide refunds for partial billing periods already paid.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to: reverse-engineer or attempt to extract the Service's source code beyond what open-source licensing permits; use the Service to attack, overload, or scrape third-party websites at scale; or share your account credentials with others to circumvent plan limits.

5. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. AI-generated actions and answers may be inaccurate or unsuitable for your specific assignment, and you are responsible for reviewing any output before relying on it.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, M Advice Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including academic consequences resulting from how you choose to use it.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for violations of these Terms. You may stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
